Organized by Miami Windsurfing, LLC in cooperation with International Formula Windsurfing Class and International Windsurfing Association and Sailboards Miami, this race should be great for onlookers as these beautiful sails grace Biscayne Bay. Ok, here it is! October 15th, 2011 RS One racing at Sailboards Miami.
This is a one day event that is open to all. We supply the gear, you supply the rider. Sign up online at the link below.
Rider fee is $20. Sign up party at ASM on Friday, October 14th from 7:00-9:00.
We have 10 new RS One boards rigged and ready. We have classes for men, women, Jr. Master, etc. Each group will run 2-3 very short (6 min.) races in a row and then will switch boards with the next group. All rigs come with adj. harness lines so you just bring your harness!
Races will be run in any wind condition from 0-30! Courses will be modified to suit conditions.
NOR will be available shortly.
Keep in mind that we also have $4,000 in prize money for this first time event in addition to great prizes from ASM.
Courses are very easy to run and good for all levels. Whether you have raced before or not, bring it.
I hope to see some of Miami’s first racers in attendance.
