1. Miami Watersports
Hands down one of the best places in the area to learn how to windsurf.
The Bay of Key Biscayne is an exceptional place to go windsurfing, calm seas with good consistent wind year-round makes it a unique location right in the heart of Miami.
Regardless of your windsurfing experience, sailing in the bay is safe and great to improve on your skills.
Advanced riders have miles of open water with nice strong winds, however, having a large area with only waist-height water makes it the ideal place for beginners to progress and gain confidence.
Shallow water makes learning how to windsurf far easier as you can always just get off and walk straight back to the beach if you get exhausted.
One thing to keep in mind though – they are not responsible for making rescues.
Even though their staff will do their best to assist you in case of distress, the customer is held responsible for returning to the departure point.
They recommend riders to stay close to shore to make rescues easier and quicker.

For adults, they offer “ADULT WINDSURFING” lessons.
You can opt for private classes or classes in a group setting.

If you are a local in the area, then you may be interested in the MYC Summer Camp program for kids.
This usually starts on April 1st of each year.
